P/J launched in 2013 with two laptops, two mobile phones and a printer in a co-working space. The economy was slowly coming out of a deep recession and the traditional firm structures were struggling to remain relevant and efficiently meet client needs.
Through word of mouth and important early wins, P/J has expanded into various practice areas all built around our core corporate and transactional focus. As P/J grew its practice footprint, its clientele and projects increased in complexity and size. P/M’s team comprises attorneys who maintain focused practice areas and use a team driven approach to accomplishing client objectives.
Challenging conventional practice models of client service, our solutions are routinely opposed by our opponents. P/J’s reputation for hard work and creative thinking has emerged as a vital characteristic of our attorneys.
Clients deserve simplicity and predictability in billing, not an attorney trying to meet billable hour requirements. Delivering client value is paramount to P/J’s model, so we dismissed the traditional partnership hierarchy and instead utilize a client billing and attorney compensation model that aligns the client’s cost expectations with the attorneys ability to earn more than their peers.
